Meet The Trainer

Ty Broussard is the owner and trainer behind Broussard Retrievers. He’s been married to his wife for 11 years and is a proud dad of two.

Before turning his passion for retrievers into a career, Ty spent 10 years working in the oil field. In 2019, he decided to take a chance on something he had always loved — retrievers and hunting dogs.

After years of learning from experienced trainers in the area, Ty began training under Ryan Brasseaux. There, he learned a proven training program while continuing to develop his own style and approach to working with dogs.

Ty has been training retrievers since 2019, and every dog that comes through the program continues to teach him something new. His goal is simple: to develop confident, obedient, hard-working retrievers that are ready to perform in the field and become dependable hunting companions.

At Broussard Retrievers, we believe every dog is different. There isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to training. We take the time to understand each dog and bring out the best in them.

What started as a passion has grown into a way of life — and Ty is proud to help each dog and owner reach their goals.
